Taming My Rival

Episode 11 of 29

Chloe buys an android developed by the Gray Group, and sets its face to look exactly like Elliott, her childhood friend. Her reason is simple: they've grown up together, trading jabs while hiding feelings neither would admit. She just wants a stand-in to vent her frustrations. But the android isn't an android. It's Elliott himself. Elliott gets wind of her purchase and seizes the chance to pose as the android. Chloe brushes off his occasional "abnormal" behavior, too human, too familiar, as programming glitches. She orders him around, makes him cook and clean, and uses him as a punching bag for all the frustrations she's stored up over the years. As time passes, Chloe discovers the android's "advanced features", including bed-warming and even an intimate mode. In the blur of proximity, both begin to sense something they've long buried. Then one day, Chloe stumbles on Elliott's online post and learns the truth. She stays quiet, still treating him as an android, until after a final round of "punishment," she finally calls him out. The shock hits Elliott hard, he can no longer fool himself. He's already fallen for her. Chloe can't pretend anymore either. She can't keep treating him as just a lookalike. She faces the truth. They come clean. They become official. No more disguises, no more pretending.
