In her hurt, she uses her grandmother's dog-bone pendant to curse him, and the spell takes hold. Each night Jax becomes a German Shepherd named Zeus who must serve as Cordelia's pet, then returns to his bullying ways at school. To lift the curse he has thirty days to earn her sincere approval, or he stays a dog forever.
