Mermaid's Crying

Episode 7 of 20

I was once Leo’s most cherished treasure, until his mother died because of me. Then he sent me to hell. After escaping, I dragged my broken body through the shadows, saving every penny for a sea burial. But the ocean was too far, and desperation drove me to the only trade that would take me, selling my beauty in a glass tank, flicking my tail for strangers’ amusement. And then he walked in. With his new lover on his arm, he called me a whore. He threw money at my face and forced me to shift, to bare my true form for the crowd’s cruel delight. But when I finally slipped beneath the waves, when I let the abyss take me, He came after me. Mad with grief, he chased my sinking body into the open ocean. And then… he jumped.
