Her Sinful Novice

Episode 1 of 45

Ella, a rebellious noblewoman, was abandoned by her cold-hearted father at St. Margaret's Abbey after she broke her engagement to her husband. In despair, she climbed to the bell tower in an attempt to end her life; however, the aloof and ascetic abbess, Seraphina, stepped forward to save her amidst a torrential downpour, only to mistake Ella for her deceased former love, "Lucia," as lightning flashed across the night sky. Confronted by the cold-hearted abbess, Ella embarked on a perilous and deadly experiment: from publicly burning her father's betrothal letter and staging a hunger strike, to secretly baking egg custard tarts to illuminate the monastery's dimness, and finally, to gradually peel away the veiling of the abbess's desires that had oppressed her for seventeen years. When heavy rain poured down and the roof leaked, Ella entered the abbess's dormitory drenched in sweat; her gasps and cries of despair in the dark ignited a long-suppressed, forbidden fire within the high walls.
