Drugged, Cynthia spends a night with a mysterious stranger and later gives birth to twins, but her stepsister insists the babies did not survive. Five years on, she marries Richard, a humble stable hand, and helps raise his two young children. Richard is secretly the Prince of the Moon Kingdom, and the children are Cynthia's own flesh and blood.
