Her parents and siblings have a habit of forgetting her July birthday while lavishing celebrations on Ethan and Chloe. By noon she is alone, her message to the family chat goes unanswered, and when they return that evening there is no cake, no candles and no song. Hurt and determined, she realizes she is now legally free to decide where she belongs.
