When the Patriarch Returned

Episode 44 of 60

Twenty years ago, Edward Mitchell gambled his freedom by drawing a death lot to save his family's ancestral shrine from demolition. He won the fight but was sent to prison, and on his release he found his clan transformed into a trillion-dollar dynasty that had named him patriarch. Racing to his daughter's wedding, burdened by guilt over the years he missed, he was instead mocked by children who were ashamed of his poverty. Now the heartbroken father stands at an opulent feast, where his dignity hangs in the balance.
