When Eternity Wasn’t Enough for Her Ambition

Episode 21 of 60

Charles Holt is a Grandmaster living among ordinary people, with enormous influence he rarely shows. For a thousand years he and Nina Mckay have been bound by a fierce, tangled love, each willing to face any hardship for the other. After so long, he is sure the time has finally come to give her the world and propose in a grand celebration. But the Nina he remembers has changed, her heart drawn toward power and money. When Charles arrives in plain clothes to ask her to marry him, she dismisses him coldly as a penniless stranger and ends things in an instant, leaving his hopes in pieces.
