"The Caged Therapist" Jobless, in debt, mother dying. Soren is at rock bottom when champion boxer Damon offers him a therapist position. But behind the door is a deal with no room for refusal: Damon can't perform without sexual release before every fight. Obey, or walk back into ruin. Soren submits. He becomes Damon's private therapist, and his dirty little secret. His girlfriend leaves. Debt collectors mock him on the street. A teammate's interest earns Soren a public humiliation as Damon claims him in front of the man who dared to want him. Soren runs away crying, but comes rushing back the moment Damon gets hurt in the ring. Damon refuses to listen. He takes Soren by force, even as Soren's dying mother calls for the last time. Soren misses the call. He disappears. Without him, Damon fights his only career draw. He drinks. He sinks. Until Soren's mother tells him the truth: Soren was once assaulted by a supervisor, he fears power, fears intimacy. And Damon finally confesses his own wound, abused as a child, he never learned to love, only to own and destroy. He finds Soren in the countryside. He kneels. He begs. Back in New York, their rival exposes them to the world. Damon lunges in fury, but Soren stops him. Under the spotlight, Soren says: "I loved him first. What we have is love." The crowd erupts. Two broken people, in each other's arms, finally whole., Even in hell, flowers can bloom.
