Yarden Zeller makes his living delivering food and is raising his daughter Dora alone. Dora was born with a heart condition that keeps their days a constant struggle. Years earlier, his ex-wife Wendy Smith left him for Quentin Stone and walked away with most of the family's money, leaving the two of them to get by on very little. On Dora's sixth birthday, Wendy suddenly gets in touch, saying she has lost everything and asking to spend one night under Yarden's roof. Yarden must decide how to answer a request he never expected.
