The Twin's Requiem

Episode 2 of 81

Twin sisters are born into the household of the Minister of War, but an imperial decree against twins leads the family to hide the younger one, Lorraine, away in a cottage on the back hill. Only her sister Winifred shows her warmth and sincerity, and that bond becomes the one bright thing in Lorraine's isolated life. When Winifred dies a brutal death on her wedding night, Lorraine makes a grim decision: she inflicts the same wounds on herself and takes her sister's place in Prince Jance's mansion. Under that borrowed identity she begins a slow, deliberate campaign of revenge.
