Top attorney Robert Milton is consumed by guilt after his father is stabbed to death by the family of a murder victim, a fallout that followed Milton's defense of the accused suspect. Unable to face his hometown, he withdraws from the world for six years. Then a migrant worker he has long helped is badly burned at a Hanford Construction Inc. site, and the company flatly refuses to pay compensation. Milton teams up with legal-aid lawyers Olivia Forrest and Samantha Grant to take the company to court, and their win uncovers a deeper conspiracy that pits justice against corruption.
