The Silent Girl Tames Feral Sentinels

Episode 4 of 40

Lyra is a mute refugee who has crossed between stars to escape a devastating war, and she finds work as a guard at Black Spire, a prison holding war-damaged men whose minds have been psychically corrupted. Her silence makes the job feel impossible, since the wardens expect her to command the dangerous inmates with words. Yet the prisoners respond to her in ways no one anticipated, and the tension between her fragile past and the volatile men in her care drives the story forward.
