The Side Room Her Husband Locked for Three Years

Episode 40 of 40

For three years, Xu Xian's husband has kept one side room under lock and key, and nobody in the household is allowed to ask why. Behind that door is not something to fear but Xu Xian's gravely ill mother, hidden away from view. Xu Xian soon learns that her mother's recovery depends on snake skin and on blood from a close relative, a demand that puts her marriage and her loyalties under strain.
