The Real Daughter Returns

Episode 42 of 55

Twenty-four years after she was raised as someone's daughter, a young woman learns that she was secretly switched with another baby at birth, when her biological sister arrives searching for her. The switch traces back to a father who misheard his wife during a hard stretch of her postpartum depression and swapped the infants to try to ease her pain. As the two families dig into the truth, they stumble onto a string of similar baby-swapping cases and a hospital that tried to bury them, while the two sisters must reckon with the lives they were each handed.
