The Little Mind Reader of Ashford

Episode 27 of 40

After her husband dies, noblewoman Margaret is framed by her uncle, loses her inheritance, and flees to a border town with her two-year-old daughter, Lily. Soon Lily unexpectedly gains the power to hear other people's thoughts, and she keeps uncovering the conspiracies aimed at them. Her gift draws the notice of King Sebastian, who is travelling incognito, and he steps in to help the pair survive the court's intrigues. As the danger around them tightens, the lonely king and the widow find themselves drawn together across the gap in their social ranks.
