The Lantern Keeps Score

Episode 20 of 70

Julie Meyer is a divine maiden who has spent an enormous stretch of time, roughly one hundred and twenty thousand years, sealed inside a magic lantern. The source premise hints at a cause tied to the E, but the story opens with her long confinement as the central weight of her existence. Her fate in the lantern sets up a romance shaped by a strong-willed heroine who refuses to be defined by her imprisonment.
