The Genius Interpreter in Plain Sight

Episode 9 of 56

Clara Bennett speaks eight languages fluently, yet she has spent three years working for a modest salary of $24,000 a year while keeping her remarkable talents out of sight. Her quiet decision to conceal what she can really do shapes every day she spends interpreting, and it sets up a central tension between the life she shows the world and the person she truly is. As her hidden ability begins to matter to the people around her, the careful balance she has built starts to wobble.
