While the paperwork moves forward, he uncovers hidden love letters that show Ella genuinely cares for him. Still, he has grown weary of her habit of using divorce as a tool to control their marriage. When she takes her childhood friend's side and keeps ignoring the schemes aimed at Ray, he weighs an invitation to work overseas and considers starting over somewhere new.
