Taming the Enemy General

Episode 40 of 40

After years of bitter fighting, two rival kingdoms sign a peace treaty, and Crown Prince Elian of Silveron is handed over to the enemy land as a hostage. Arriving there, he is surprised to meet Ash, the enemy general he has quietly admired for years. Elian pursues him openly and with unguarded sincerity, but the reserved Ash keeps stepping back, weighed down by their age gap, their ranks, and the uneasy political standing of their nations. Little by little, though, his guard begins to slip.
