Survival in a Matriarchy

Episode 81 of 90

Luis Ford, an elite lawyer, wakes up transported into an ancient world ruled by women, where men are treated as property. Just as he faces being sold off as a male concubine, his talent for storytelling wins him his freedom and draws the attention of the county magistrate. Relying on a clever empty-city trick, he turns back an invading force and soon catches the eye of the Empress herself. Refusing to bend to his circumstances, he sets out to reshape trade with new kinds of markets and to train male soldiers, working his way toward influence in a society built around women's authority.
