Slumdog Soccer Star MIllionaire

Episode 3 of 34

Martin grew up in one of Brazil's favelas, where a debt to a local gang pushed him onto a football pitch with everything riding on his talent. The setup promises a rags-to-riches climb, but the story is really about a young man trying to earn his way out of danger while the world around him keeps shifting. Romance and workplace rivalry add tension to his rise, and every match becomes a gamble that could either free him or pull him back into the streets.
