Sacrificed to the Dragon King

Episode 38 of 40

Celia is handed over by his cruel stepbrother Anderson as a sacrifice to Heinrich, a dragon who insists Celia is his destined mate. Confined in the dragon's castle, Celia suspects Heinrich sees him only as a stand-in for Anderson, and the beast guards a cursed emerald ring that haunts him. To save his frail younger sister Lily, Celia keeps slipping out into the forest despite the deadly beasts there, and each time Heinrich rushes to shield him, taking on the wounds through their bond. Anderson, meanwhile, uses Lily's life as leverage to lure Celia into traps and spread lies that threaten to split them apart.
