Ella is a wolfless young woman whose fated mate abandoned her, and whose family has treated her as a tool for their own gain. In despair, she cuts the bond with her mate herself. She is then pushed into marrying Luke, the Northern Alpha known as a useless leader who is also thought to have no wolf. Ella soon discovers she can help Luke awaken his wolf spirit, and the whole North begins to admire her. Her former mate, Alpha Noah, now regrets what he did and will go to any length to reclaim her.
