One day, rushing to buy groceries because the cupboards are bare, he sees a little girl frozen in the road as a car bears down on her and acts without thinking to pull her clear, but the rescue leaves him gravely hurt and unconscious. He wakes to find himself inside a strange yin and yang grocery store.
