One Buck? I Quit

Episode 42 of 60

Mira Grant graduated high school and was introduced by her aunt to help her divorced cousin Genesis Foster run a seafood fried rice stall. After Mira improved the recipe, the fried rice blew up at the night market. Genesis proposed a partnership, 50/50 split. Mira cooked day and night, and the shop grew. When Mira’s mother urgently needed 100,000 for surgery, Mira asked Genesis for her share. Genesis tossed her one yuan: “You belong to me, what share?” Mira quit on the spot and accidentally bound the “Cooking God Review Cashback System”, good reviews on dishes convert to cash. She bought a food cart, returned to the night market, and went solo. Her skills made her famous fast, and cashback poured in. Genesis’s shop declined without Mira. To cut costs, Genesis used cheap ingredients, causing food poisoning, and the shop got shut down. Instead of reflecting, Genesis livestreamed lies that Mira stole her secret recipe and hired fake officers to flip Mira’s stall. Mira entered the city Cooking God Contest, stunned judges with crab roe noodles and black gold abalone, beat Yara Blake, and won. She joined the Gourmet Association. Vice President Travis Reeves, backing Yara, deliberately withheld funds and transferred chefs to mess with Mira. Mira used the system to exchange ingredients, returned to her village, invited folks to bring specialty dishes to the Business Expo, and conquered every boss with rural flavors, signing multiple deals on the spot. She produced surveillance evidence and brought Genesis, Travis, and the others to justice. In the end, Mira built the “Avenue Eats” night market brand, led the villagers to wealth, and became the young generation’s Cooking God.
