Misplaced Life

When a powerful earthquake trapped Evelyn, the adopted daughter of the Ford family, beneath the rubble, the two men closest to her, her brother Liam and her fiancé Sebastian, chose to save Cecilia, the biological daughter recently welcomed into the household. Evelyn's leg was crushed, and while recovering she overheard them calling her an outsider and discussing ending their engagement. Feeling abandoned by everyone, she quietly made up her mind to leave the family behind. Under constant favoritism and pressure, she kept her distance and prepared her exit, and five years later she returns to New York with a thriving career, facing the family she once gave up on.
