Married to the Vagabond King

Episode 3 of 5

King Damon grows tired of the stiff rules of palace life and slips away in plain clothes as a wandering vagabond, heading alone toward the Northern Territories to see how his subjects truly live. A sudden high fever leaves him collapsing on the road, but he is tended back to health by Elena, an apprentice at a small-town apothecary who cares for him with bread and herbal pills. Her own world is shattered when she discovers her fiancé Caleb betraying her with her cousin Mira, and she is publicly left at the altar. To honor her gravely ill grandmother's last wish, Elena agrees to a hasty contract marriage to Damon, a man she has known for only two days, and the pair must convince everyone they are a devoted couple.
