A scheming pair of villains manipulate events so that a husband comes to believe his wife is responsible for his mother lying in a vegetative state. At the same time, his wife is led to think he deliberately caused the loss of the child she had finally conceived. Each is convinced of the other's betrayal, and the lies planted by the villains push their marriage toward a painful breaking point. The story follows how two people who once trusted each other must face a bitter misunderstanding.
