How Not to Get Rich

Episode 64 of 72

Shattock opens his eyes in the Republican era as the eldest son of the Su family, carrying a Richest Man System that rewards him for every loss he suffers. Hoping to go broke, he pours money into schools, factories, heavy industry and infrastructure. Each attempt to squander his fortune instead lifts the nation, and his failures keep winning public admiration. Decades later, the country prospers and the people celebrate him as a hero, yet Shattock privately weeps.
