In a rural village, Lydia is often dismissed as a simpleton, but her grandmother who raised her is determined to secure her future by finding her a husband. Lydia, however, already has feelings for someone else. Mark, under heavy pressure from his family to take on the role of a househusband, rejects the future they have planned for him. When he crosses paths with Lydia, he makes an unusual offer: a bag of rice in exchange for marriage. Mark is certain he will never find love, yet feelings begin to quietly take root between them.
