Kevin co-founded a Manhattan restaurant with his cousin Jerry, and together they built it into the city's most talked-about table, earning a 4.9 on Yelp and holding the top spot among the hottest restaurants for months. Jerry then pushed him out, handing him $20,000 in cash and installing Kevin's own sous chef, Jeffrey, as head chef. Kevin spent his savings on a shuttered Corner Restaurant right across from Central Avenue Restaurant, setting up a rivalry on the same street. Meanwhile, Jerry looked away from Jeffrey's kickbacks and the use of repeatedly thawed, refrozen, spoiled beef and foie gras, and the restaurant's reputation began to crumble almost overnight.
