Isabel Quinn, the daughter of Kaldia's richest man, cut ties with her father Frank so she could marry for love to Loren Davis. Her pregnancy becomes difficult when the baby lies in an unusual position, and she is preparing for delivery when trouble arrives from an unexpected place. Loren's close friend Shirley dismisses Isabel's fears as drama staged for attention, and Loren, persuaded by her, insists that Isabel move to another hospital. Just as this tension builds, news of the coming birth reaches Frank, who sets out to see his daughter with expensive gifts in hand.
