The Unshackled Wife

Episode 33 of 35

On New Year's Eve, a woman sets out to take her daughter to her parents' home so they can ring in the new year together, a plan she has been quietly preparing for after many years of marriage. Her hopes are cut short when her mother-in-law blocks her path just as she reaches the ground floor. The moment turns a simple holiday errand into a confrontation over whether she will be allowed to leave the household she has lived in for so long.
