One Cup, No Return

Episode 23 of 40

After three years of faithful patronage, a customer's modest request for extra ice at her favorite café set off a furious outburst from the owner, who told her the ice cost electricity and ordered her out. She left quietly without a word. The very next day she led her 300 employees to the bakery next door, and they strolled past the café's now-deserted storefront as if it no longer existed. The insult has cost the owner dearly, and the woman's calm, cold departure marks the start of her quiet reckoning.
