At the close of the nineteenth century, the aging mayor of the lawless frontier town of Roseville dies unexpectedly, and he leaves behind four scattered clues to a legendary hoard of gold. Half a map passes to his widow Eleanor, the other half to his daughter Kira, while his lover Rosa holds the key to the vault and the nun Claire carries the code hidden on her back. Each of these women now has a piece of the fortune, and none of them can afford to trust the others.
