Broken Seal

Episode 31 of 45

Three years ago, Supreme Pontiff Rowan Vale of the Radiant See escaped to Ashwick badly hurt and was rescued by Old Lord Voss. Wanting to repay that kindness, he concealed who he really was, lived under the Voss roof, and quietly drew on the Radiant See's power to raise the family's fortunes. His wife in name only, Seraphine, never learned any of it. Craving more influence, she broke off their engagement, threw in with Edric Stuart, heir of House Stuart, and allowed others to mock Rowan as a poor, wandering healer.
