Bringing Home a Rented Boyfriend

Episode 1 of 1

Yvette Lewis, a twenty-five-year-old with no husband, no money and a habit of working far from home, is looked down on by her extended family. After a lottery win she hires a rented boyfriend, Jason Boone, to join her for the New Year, though he first believes she is the blind date his mother arranged. Once they reach her hometown, relatives pepper them with questions and her cousin Megan arrives with a boyfriend, sparking a battle of gifts and status. The pressure of pretending to be a couple while the family judges every move sets the stage for their growing tension.
