Break the ice

Episode 17 of 37

After her coach cut her from the team, Kayla turned to refereeing instead of giving up on the ice. At the national championships she ejected that same coach and brought his misconduct into the open. Her stand went on to carry her to the Winter Olympics, where she became the first American woman to serve as head referee, and she kept her focus on fairness throughout.
