Bitter Fruit

Episode 21 of 40

Zoe Quinn rescues Danny York's father, and the rescue grows into a friendship in which she steers orders from her supermarket toward Danny and Hope Scott's fruit shop. When the couple decides to hand the shop over to settle their debts, Zoe puts her secretary in charge of it. Hope then wrongly claims Zoe passed counterfeit money and keeps escalating the accusations. Zoe's patience finally breaks when her secretary uncovers that most of the fruit the couple supplied was substandard, and the supermarket ends up sealed.
