Betray the Stable Hand, Serve the Duke

Episode 53 of 55

Years ago, Daphne, a count's daughter, perjured herself in court to shield her mother from a deadly illness, and the lie condemned Hans, the stable hand she cared for, to a cell. Now he reappears in Freis wearing a duke's honors and craving payback, yet he finds her impoverished and learns she has been quietly raising her sick child, Alice, without help. Just as the truth comes out, traitors overrun the kingdom and take Hans and Alice captive.
