At 50, My Career Was Just Beginning

Episode 5 of 45

Gordon Carter, a skilled technician, arrives with his son to collect his bride from her father's house, where the workshop sits in the middle of the day-to-day life of the family. The clipped premise sets up a household shaped by Gordon's craft and his stubborn sense of dignity. Its central tension is how a man who has spent his life working with his hands will hold his ground among people who have already underestimated him.
