At the intake desk, his ticket numbered 13-13 infuriates Miss Blake, a wealthy soul who insists he is cursing her. She commands a Duty Angel to shred the ticket and banish him to the high-risk line, even though Gabriel himself authored the rule that all souls are equal. The tension peaks when Ellis recognizes him and asks why the archangel is standing in line.
