Episode 33 of 57

Hazel Stark, the adopted daughter of the Shaw family, is due to wed Mike York, the magistrate's son, when her stepsister Ivy Shaw sells her to a brothel in order to take her place in the engagement. Drugged and frightened, Hazel stumbles into Jonah Lodge, a crown prince who has lost his memory, and the two grow close. Together they secretly raise their son in hiding for five quiet years. Their peace is shattered when the emperor and empress track down Jonah and move to bring him back to the palace, while Ivy's hostility turns toward the child.
