Cast Out, Returned as Their Doom

Jerome Gray is sent to the front in place of his brother, a sacrifice that was meant to end with his death on the battlefield. Three years later he comes back from the grave of that war as a half-step Heaven, far stronger than anyone who cast him aside. The people who sent him away now have to face the man they believed was gone. Jerome's return brings the old debts and betrayals straight back to the surface.
