Sam is a soldier whose helicopter goes down during a tour in Afghanistan, and he is officially presumed dead. Back home, his brother, a man who has always been seen as the family's screw-up, is left to face the grief and the expectations that come with the loss. As he tries to fill a space he never expected to occupy, old resentments and unspoken feelings begin to surface. The story centers on a family shaken by a loss that forces the brothers to confront who they really are to each other.
