Thorny Rose in the Clouds

Raised with nothing to her name, she learned early to guard herself like a rose surrounded by thorns, lovely to look at yet sharp enough to wound anyone who gets too close. Her hard-won composure is tested as her path begins to cross with someone from a world far above her own, and the gap between their lives becomes the source of constant friction. Each encounter pushes her to decide whether to keep armoring herself or to let someone see what lies beneath the prickles.
