The Time-Crossed Translator

Vera Watkin, a top translator of the twenty-first century, wakes up inside the body of a heavyset girl who shares her name, in the 1980s. Determined to reshape her life, she sheds the excess weight and emerges with a striking new look, then puts her language skills to work exposing foreign plots. Her hard-earned rise to chief translator puts her in the path of Karl Remington, a man who has held a grudge against her. As their dealings continue, his prejudice begins to crack and a slow attraction takes hold.
