The Spring He Let Slip Away

For three years Joy Culver tends to Lionel Ward, who lies bedridden, and everyone around them assumes her devotion comes from deep love. The moment he finally recovers, however, she walks away. Lionel, once a proud and carefree prodigy, has been reshaped by tragedy and now masks his real feelings behind a cold, indifferent manner. When he sees the newly risen marquis, Cedric Slade, holding Joy's hand, he suddenly feels the ache of losing the woman he loves and begins to wonder whether it is already too late to win her back.
