The Road Through Fire

Former Marine Luke Carter accepts a $50,000 contract to escort heiress Charlotte Morgan across the dangerous Mojave Desert, money he needs to keep his comatose sister in care. Cartels, traffickers, and even Charlotte's own uncle are hunting them, and the two constantly bicker as they struggle to stay alive. Along the way their rivalry slowly turns into affection. When Charlotte is betrayed and taken, Luke is willing to risk everything to bring her back and complete the journey they began together.
